My approach to Yoga : reconnecting your inner Self
Derived from the Sanskrit root योग "YUJ," Yoga means union, to unite, to connect, to rejoin. Yoga aims for the union of body and mind, the connection to our deep source.
A process and path towards harmonizing our being on all levels (physical, mental, and emotional), Yoga is an awakening to the true nature of our inner self. It's a program that goes far beyond the mat!

On the mat, within the context of the class, my teaching seeks to introduce you to this extraordinary dimension of Yoga. With total kindness, the class becomes a journey into oneself, a moment outside of time, like a cocoon where each person can find peace, challenge themselves, and, above all, let go.

Beyond a mere exploration of postures, far more than mere physical exercise, the practice of Yoga is a way of life; the classes allow us to work on both the body and mind. Each person experiences this timeless interlude, pausing our frantic lives where we are constantly disconnected from our bodies and sensations. It is an invitation to meet oneself in the space of the mat, to turn inward and learn to unfold one's physical and mental potential, while respecting one's needs and limitations at every moment.

Seeking a moment to slow down, to root oneself, to reconnect the mind, heart, and body instead of wandering in our thoughts!
“Hatha-yoga turns within the body.
This is why true yoga is not what is seen from the outside,
and acrobatic performance has no value in itself.”
André Van Lysebeth

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga Hatha Yoga is the original generic name for traditional Yoga.
The most practiced form of Yoga in the West, it is a comprehensive practice for both body and mind. Hatha Yoga is part of the integral system of Raja Yoga and focuses on the energy flows in the body, referred to as "Prana."

"Hatha" is composed of two words: "Ha," meaning the sun, and "Tha," meaning the Moon. Through the terms "Ha" and "Tha," one must explore the opposites and the complementarity symbolized by the sun and the moon.

Hatha Yoga means joining two opposite polarities, the masculine and feminine, the left nostril and the right nostril, positive energies and negative energies... seeking to harmonize these two opposing yet complementary energies within us for the stability of the mind. For this purpose, Hatha Yoga employs various tools, including the use of postures (Asanas) that seek to find a balance between strength and flexibility, breath control (Pranayama), and meditation.

Every practice of Hatha Yoga is designed to raise awareness of our body and delve into sensations. Each movement and posture are performed mindfully, focusing on synchronization with the breath.

The benefits of Hatha Yoga are manifold: strengthening, balance, relaxation.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra The term "Yoga Nidra" comes from two Sanskrit words: "Yoga," meaning union, and "nidra," meaning sleep. Yoga Nidra is the awakened psychic sleep of the Yogi, a state of dynamic sleep.

It is a practice that provides a powerful means to consciously relax, in a meditative state, an in-between state of wakefulness and dreaming, tapping into previously untapped inner resources.
The purposes of Yoga Nidra are manifold: to relieve the body of all physical and mental tensions and to embark on a symbolic journey within the realm of imagination.

Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga adapts the practice of Yoga for individuals with reduced mobility and autonomy, whether those limitations are minor or more significant in certain movements.

The benefits of Chair Yoga are manifold: optimizing energy circulation, improving muscle tone, enhancing coordination and memory, soothing emotional states.

Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal Yoga allows the adaptation of yoga practice for pregnant women, enabling conscious movement, maintaining a healthy body (especially the back), and gently preparing for childbirth.

The benefits of Prenatal Yoga are manifold: fostering the connection between the mother and her baby, control of breath awareness, improved pelvic mobility, vitality, tone, and relaxation during pregnancy.
