Trauma - Healing - Liberation
An Integrative Therapeutic Approach
I work with adults and adolescents in individual therapy, offering EMDR therapy ('Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing'), aimed at overcoming painful past events that impact emotional and relational life on a daily basis. I provide targeted support using EMDR therapy, particularly suited for trauma.

These interventions are also applicable to everyday difficulties such as exam stress, fear of public speaking, fear of driving, interpersonal stress, etc., or any recurring and debilitating negative situation.

Consultations include EMDR therapy for identified issues (depressive state, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, etc.) and/or support during challenging life periods in a dynamic of assistance.
“Eye, tactile, and auditory gymnastics
work on the brain to release harmful emotions.
Of course, EMDR cannot erase the painful episode from memory,
but it will alleviate the suffering that stems from it.”
Adaptive Information Processing Model
The mnemonic networks form the basis of pathology and health.

The adaptive information processing system behaves like other systems in the human body, programmed for healing (for example, cuts healing and scarring).

When an experience is successfully processed, whether positive or negative, it is stored appropriately, integrating with other similar experiences about oneself and others.
Disruptions in the information processing system due to high activation states from challenging life experiences result in inadequately processed memories stored inappropriately in memory.

As the current situation unconsciously links to negative past experiences, these similarities can trigger a reaction in the present as if it were the same situation as in the past.

The past is present: the worldviews and maladaptive self-perceptions of past negative experiences, processed dysfunctionally, influence the perception of the present.
These dysfunctionally processed memories and their stored components (thoughts, emotions, images, physical sensations) transform during reprocessing.

Reprocessing occurs when dual attention on a past memory, combined with alternating bilateral stimulation, activates the associative process that allows the creation of appropriate associations.

When reprocessing is successful, previously disturbing memories are neutralized and integrated with other similar experiences. What is useful is preserved, capable of influencing future experiences. What is no longer adapted is discharged (e.g., negative images, emotions, beliefs...).

Some practical information:
After scheduling your FIRST appointment, you will be contacted for a phone call to confirm the appointment.
The EMDR protocol with eye movements is never practiced during the first appointment.
The first EMDR therapy session is dedicated to explanations about the proposed work, as well as addressing any questions from both the patient and the therapist.
The first consultation is a crucial moment to get to know each other better and identify your needs. Together, we will assess your goals and choose the most suitable therapeutic approaches to help you regain your emotional well-being.
